Tuition Refund Policy

If a student has paid and chooses to withdraw from courses, a refund will be issued by check or applied to credit card from Rutgers University. It can take four to six weeks for the refund to be issued after the request date.

**Please note that the application fee and placement testing fee are not refundable.

• Before classes begin, 100% of tuition and fees, excluding application fee and placement testing fee is refundable.
• During Rutgers' Add/Drop Period (first week of classes), 100% of tuition and fees, excluding application fee and placement testing fee is refundable. Withdrawal from courses must occur within 5 business days from the first scheduled class.
• During the regular Rutgers fall or spring semesters, a student who withdraws from courses will receive a partial reduction in tuition and fees according to the Rutgers University withdrawal schedule. Withdrawal dates for the current academic year can be found here.
