Zhang, Qisi

Professor Qisi Zhang joined Rutgers a few years ago and has taught a whole spectrum of undergraduate literacy courses and a diverse student population from EAP to Expository Writing. Before that, she had directed college English programs first in China and then in the US, New York City in particular. She received her Ph.D. in Composition and TESOL from Indiana University of PA and M.Ed. from Bloomsburg University. Besides her teaching, she has also widely published in English learning and teaching in both continents. Her research has focused on identity and multi-literacy study. To help amplify students’ voices and develop the curriculum and instruction of the Writing Program at Rutgers, she has actively served on the EAD/EAP Advisory Board and bridged the writing programs and the international students with her enthusiasm and expertise.
