Mark Keitges is Director of the Graduate English Language Learners Program in the Rutgers English Language Institute. He is an Assistant Director in the Rutgers Writing Program at the rank of Teaching Instructor. At Rutgers, Dr. Keitges teaches and designs courses on academic writing and communication for pre-matriculated, undergraduate, and graduate students. He coordinates the Summer Academy for the Global Educator (SAGE), a faculty development workshop that focuses on critical reading and writing at the college-level, communicative fluency in English-dominant classrooms, and research writing for publication. Mark previously taught undergraduate and graduate courses in the College of Education at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He has also taught speakers of English as an additional language in a variety community colleges and non-profit organizations in the New York City and Seattle metropolitan areas. Mark holds a Ph.D. in Education Policy, Organization, and Leadership at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, a M.A. in Educational Communication and Technology from New York University, a M.Ed. in Adult Education and Training from Seattle University, and a B.S. in Film Studies and English from Texas Christian University.
