This workshop will help you understand:

Transitions are the bridges between parts of your paper. They help to create both coherence and unity in a paper, and they enable the reader to make the logical connections between the writer’s ideas. Transitions help carry a thought from sentence to sentence, idea to idea, and one paragraph to the next. This workshop will look at some examples of each and do some hands-on work with choosing appropriate transitions.

This event is sponsored by the EAD-ROSE Academic Support Team at the Rutgers English Language Institute, Department of English - Writing Program.
